7 on 7 Flag Football! – Pro Points Opportunity

Another Intramural Pro Points opportunity is already here. The 7-on-7 flag football season will begin on September 25th. Players will be able to earn Pro Points for attending games and practices.

If the minimum amount of players is not met, then we will be dropped from the league and will not have a team.

How to sign up:

  1. Go to IM Leagues.
  2. Click on “Join Team” next to “MegaHurtz”.
  3. Log in
  4. Join the team

NOTE: You will have to create an account with IMLeagues if you have not participated in an intramural sport before.

Guest Speaker Scott Clark, Director of Engineering for Brandon and Clark Inc.

Scott Clark is the director of engineering at Brandon and Clark Inc. With a professional engineering license in the state of Texas and experience in industrial power systems, automation, and machines. He previously served as an engineer and physical science researcher for the National Security Agency. He possesses a B.S.E.E. and a B.S.C.E. from Texas Tech University and a M.S.E.E. from The Johns Hopkins University.

Guest Speakers Marcus Borhani and Graham Hill of X-FAB

Marcus Borhani and Graham Hill previously worked for Texas Instruments for 22-years and now currently work at X-FAB in Lubbock, TX. They are active members in both IEEE and the Texas Society of Professional Engineers. They obtained their B.S.E.E. and M.S.E.E. from Kansas State University.

Guest Speaker Dr. Michael Helm

Wednesday, August 10, 2016 — 4:15 PM — ECE 217 — 2 Points

Dr. Michael Helm is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas Tech University. He obtained his B.S.C.S., M.S.C.S., and Ph.D.C.S. from Texas Tech University and previously worked for Texas Instruments.

    • Students seeking to join the TTU IEEE and WIE chapters may come to the TTU IEEE office in the ECE basement during available office hours. (NOTE: Only credit and debit cards are accepted)

      Additionally, students who are officers in any of the above organizations and any other organizations that offer Pro-Points (e.g. SWE, NSBE, etc.) receive all 10 Pro-Points.

  • Other Professional Activities, Community Service, or Unpaid Volunteer Work
    • In order to receive Pro-Points, a student should bring some form of proof of volunteer work to the IEEE office in the ECE basement during available office hours.
